In 1952, 19 year old Yoko Ono wrote and illustrated a story called An Invisible Flower. The story involves “an invisible beauty” and a man named John who can see it. Early that same year, 11 year old John Lennon drew a picture of a man and woman riding horses across a plane dressed similarly to how he and Yoko would be dressing 15 years later when they began their relationship. He dated the drawing as having been done on the 18th of February– Yoko’s 19th birthday. An Invisible Flower sat hidden in a closet for years until Sean Lennon found it and published it this past year.
