A while ago I complimented a friend of mine on her fabulous new prescription glasses. She said they were just part of a collection of about a dozen pairs she owns because, she reasoned, “with eyesight like mine I’m going to be wearing glasses for the rest of my life so I might as well have fun with it!” I’ve taken that advice to heart and have started up a collection of my own, as you can see:
Still, there’s always room for more stylish glasses, and the internet is awash in fashionable frames for those of us whose eyes need a little vision help (or for those of us with 20/20 vision who want non-prescription lenses in some kick-ass frames)! Here are a few of my favorites:
Sloan frames in Rum Cherry color from Warby Parker
As regular readers of this blog will know, I have a soft spot in my heart from the Log Lady from Twin Peaks and these frames remind me of her awesome square red glasses.
1980s Diane von Furstenberg Vintage Glasses from Thayer Eyewear
I was in the grocery store one day and saw a woman with the most gorgeous cat eye glasses I’d ever seen. I complimented them and it turns out she is actually sharing her great taste in glasses with the world at large through her Etsy shop! How cool are these faded color vintage Diane von Furtsenberg frames?
Alice frames in Midnight Lace color from BonLook
Ray Ban Violet Gradient Havana Frames from Coastal.com
Okay, I really, really hate to pick a favorite, but just look at all the gorgeousness happening in these frames. They’re a rich chocolate tortoise shell color, have purple arms, and best of all have an arched cat eye design that would make even a vision impaired Selena Kyle jealous!
What kind of frames are your favorite and where do you get your glasses from?
